The expanded meeting for “Integrity and Anti-Corruption Reality Report”

On Wednesday ,28/9/2022 ADWAR Association held the expanded meeting with the Coalition for Integrity and Accountability (AMAN). The meeting aimed to highlight the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Reality Report 2021, in the presence of the Director of the Adwar Foundation, Dr. Sahar Alkawasmeh and Professor Jihad Harb, the main researcher in the coalition, and Abu Bakr Qort, the awareness raising coordinator in the Aman Coalition, and a group of media professionals and representatives of parties, political forces, ministries, universities, municipalities, and other organizations from the Hebron Governorate. Dr. Sahar Alkawasmeh opened the event by welcoming the attendees and expressing gratitude for the partnership with the Aman Coalition, which consistently provides us with the most significant advancements in the field of integrity and combating corruption in Palestine, and presenting a report on this reality is one of the most important steps in measuring the response to all forms of corruption.

Mr. Abu Bakr Qort, the Aman Coalition’s awareness-raising coordinator, gave an introduction to the coalition and the importance of presenting the report that monitors developments and efforts to combat corruption and challenges to governance integrity, adding that the report identifies the most prominent forms of corruption and criminalization of corruption in 2021.

The annual report was then presented by Mr. Jihad Harb, the Aman Coalition’s principal researcher, beginning with the general environment surrounding efforts to enhance integrity and combat corruption in 2021, forms of corruption and the prosecution and criminalization of the corrupt, changes in the reality of the integrity values system, principles of transparency and accountability systems in Palestine for the year 2021.

Finally, the audience was invited to participate in the discussion, which saw a lot of interaction and many questions about the report and several recommendations for combating all forms of corruption by stepping up efforts from all parties and institutions.
