“Men’s Community Participation to Protect Women from Electronic Violence” Initiative

On Saturday 09/23/2023, in Marah Mualla, south of Bethlehem, members of the Men’s Alliance organized a community participation initiative for men to protect women from electronic violence within the community initiatives entitled “Qaderta,” in order to enhance the level of community participation of women who had been abused electronically, in addition to highlighting the role of the Men’s Alliance in reducing gender-based violence in the public sphere, one of the most important results and outcomes of the initiative was the formation of groups of women and young women led by members of the Men’s Alliance, in order to break the culture of silence, whose percentage according to the Central Statistical Service is 61%, by providing them with confidence skills. Self-help, reporting and complaint skills in the event of exposure to electronic violence, and this program will remain sustainable and effective under the leadership of members of the Men’s Alliance.
This activity comes within the Civic and Community Engagement Project (CPCE), which is implemented by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in partnership with Family Health International (FHI360) and with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
