Project “Improving the Social and Economic Situation of Bedouin Women in East Jerusalem”

General Framework
The Project is implemented by Roles for Social Change Association – ADWAR in partnership with the Women’s Protection Committees and funded by the German Cooperation GIZ.

Period of Time
15/04/2024 –  14/04/2025

Objectives
– Strengthening the capabilities and skills of Bedouin young women through training, development,   knowledge transfer, and providing sustainable work opportunities.
–  Empowering Bedouin women by improving their psychological and social conditions in East Jerusalem   by reducing the discriminatory practices they face, whether in the private or public sphere.
–  Developing the professional skills women with economic activities in the fields of project management,   technical skills and product marketing in the public sphere.
–  Raising the level of existing activities to become economic projects from small to large size that   contribute to economic development and recognizing their contribution to gross domestic income and   occupy the decision makers.

Target Groups
The project targets Bedouin Palestinian Women, especially Young Women and Women with disabilities in the Bedouin communities in East Jerusalem, which are the Arab Jahalin Abu Nuwar, AlMantar, Anata, AlKhan AlAhmar and Jaba
