ADWAR Association represented by its Administrative Officer Lama Qattush and ADWAR ‘s volunteers held the second meeting over Skype within the project activities (Box of Culture) in partnership with the Moroccan association (Association Agir Ensemble) and the Moroccan Alliance Foundation Fondation Alionz and funded by the Anna Lindh Foundation Moroccan network.
The activity included sharing habits, cultures and traditions of each of the cities of Hebron in Palestine and Guelmim in Morocco. Where ADWAR‘s group showed a number of cultural customs and traditions of the city of Hebron, such as traditional industries, glass and porcelain, Palestinian wedding, Palestinian dress and its implications in the Palestinian identity. They also showed Grapes as the most popular crops in Hebron, the group also provided an explanation for the most important products such as Malbann, and a number of videos showed that depict the Al IBrahimi mosque in Hebron. Moroccan group Alliance Foundation Fondation Alionz showed a number of customs and traditions included a traditional Moroccan dress in Moroccan weddings desert (Traah, peplos) also offered the modus operandi of Moroccan tea and the famous Moroccan dish in their city called the (Zariga) made of wheat. It is worth mentioning that the alliance is no institution in the Moroccan city of Guelmim, which called the Moroccan Sahara Gate.
Administrative officer Lama Qattush pointed out that the meeting is aimed to the exchange of cultures between young men and women from Morocco, Palestine, and opens the opportunity to understand the different and multiple cultures through the mixing of civilizations, customs and traditions away from the stereotypes and prejudices and distorted images, in order to build dialogue It is through the culture of the community and mutual understanding.
