ADWAR singed the project agreement entitled (Natural Reserve Guards)

Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR singed the project agreement entitled (Natural Reserve Guards) in partnership with Ministry of Agriculture, Environment Quality Authority, Tarqoumia Municipality, Hebron Municipality, Women Clubs in both Tarumia and Beit Kahil, and funded by UNDP/PAPP; this occured with the presence of the general director of ADWAR, Sahar Alkawasmeh, and the representative of UNDP, Nadia Alkhudari.
This project aims to institutionalize an activated women body entitled (Natural Reserve Guards), and develop their abilities in their environmental development roles. In addition to develop their abilities in accountability mechanisms in order to accountable decision- makers in the Palestinian Authority, and private sectors for their role in protecting Wadi Al-Quff reserve. It also aims to enhance the participation of women who live near Wadi AL-Quff reserve, in the South of Hebron City, to establish small environmental and development income-generating projects in which play a role in recycling various wastes, maintain the natural heritage, and the aesthetic appearance of the reserve. Yet, it aims to improve women’s economic conditions.
This project targets women and girls of Tarqumia and Beit kahil South of Hebron city near to Wadi Al-Quff Reserve. Moreover, it has various activities such as capacity building, dialogue sessions with authority and decision-makers, educational T.V episodes, and environmental initiatives. These environmental initiatives will be implemented in order to treat wastes that are harmful to the environment and protect the environment and the aesthetic appearance of the reserve; through small environmental and development income-generating projects which recycles wastes.
