ADWAR Finishing “Gender Mainstreaming” training program

Roles for Social Change Association –ADWAR finished the training program entitled:” Gender Mainstreaming” within the framework of the project :”Promotion of the local democracy and economic activity through the reinforcement of Palestinian Non State Actors”, that is funded by the European Union and implemented by Action Against Hunger ACF in partnership with Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR and Land Research Center ,LRC, Which were held in Yatta Municipality with the presence of representatives from different ministries(ministry of women affairs, Ministry of Local governance , Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of state, and Higher Council for Youth and Sports) whose considered the steering committee of the project and non- state actors from areas targeted in this project(Masafer Yatta, Tarkumia, Susya, Hathaleen).

Furthermore, the training aimed at raising awareness of Gender issues and concepts for non- state actors, in order to involve gender concepts in their internal institutions’ law.

As ADWAR’s General Director Mrs. Sahar AlKawasmeh pointed out that these activities were held to institutionalize gender concepts in Financial and administrative systems for these targeted institutions.
