ADWAR continues implementing its theater performances in Kharas Municipality Hole

Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR continues implementing its theater performances in Kharas Municipality Hole, within the project entitled (Protecting Women Legal Rights), in which this project comes within the social program of ADWAR that aims to decrease gender-based violence.
The director of Kharas Women Club, Wafa Radwan started the activity with welcoming ADWAR and its important project. As well, she showed the importance of this project as it aims to increase women’s awareness about their legal rights, and the importance of reaching Family Courts to ask for their legal rights. Yet, she assured the importance of having a judge among them in this activity, the thing that increase women’s confidence in Family Court and Palestinian Judicial System.
Besides, in her opening speech the general director of ADWAR, Ms. Sahar Alkwasmeh introduced the project (Protecting Women Legal Rights) that aims to change women and men’s perspective on not reaching the Family Court to ask for their legal rights.
As well, she emphasized the important role of Kharas Women Club in cooperating with ADWAR to implement purposeful activities aim to change Kharas women’s reality. In addition, she assured the role of Kharas Municipality in supporting such activities to change women’s conditions and to ask for their legal rights
She also, showed the importance of this activity as it increases women and men awareness about women legal rights in inheritance, marriage, alimony, divorce and dowry. As knowledge is a weapon to change the reality, and such a performance increases the knowledge of women and support them to reach
justice.
Moreover, the representative of Kharas Municipality, expressed the role Khars Municapilty plays in supporting women of Kharas and targeting shuch educational and important projects. As weel, he thanked ADWAR for its role in increasing awareness of Kharas women and men.
Besides, the judge Abdullah Alaisally discussed the services and procedures of Family Courts that aim to be just with women in marriage, divorce, alimony, dowry, and inheritance’ cases. As well he added the laws of marriage, divorce, alimony, dowry, and inheritance that Personal Status Law include
The meeting was followed by an educational performance that aim to deliver the message of the importance of reaching Family Courts to ask for legal rights, and the importance of determining in getting women’s legal rights and never give up as a result of traditions.
At the end, the performance was followed by critical discussion aims to show the role of Family Courts in protecting women legal rights and it aimed to show Family Courts’ services and procedures.
