Starting Dialogue meetings

ADWAR Association Starts Dialogue Meetings with Officials from Ministry of Interior and Supreme Judicial Council

On Sunday 23\11\2024 Roles for Social Change Association ADWAR started the dialogue meetings in the framework of the project: “Women advocate against the concept of (Divorced women) and their isolation from civic live” in partnership with Middle East Partnership Initiative MEPI funded by the US Consulate.

In which the ten dialogue meetings aims at enhancing women’s participation in different Palestinian governorates and open scopes for them to meet with officials in order to express their needs in front of officials from Ministry of Interior and Supreme Judicial Council represented by (Mr.Yaser Shalaldeh \director of civil status – and Mr.Issa Qasrawey\ legal councilor) and presented the ministry’s part in both procedures and receiving cases procedures of such issues. Also, it aimed at enhancing their participation in public life through signing the divorced women rights document which demands officials to reconsider again in the documents and all forms of discrimination against them.

, Mrs.Sahar AlKawasmeh ADWAR’s General Director pointed that this dialogue meeting is the first one in which it will be continued later on in different governorates. Those dialogue meetings helped in giving women chance to express their fears, feelings, and pain, as it contributed towards breaking the barriers.  Additionally, they have been able to sign the Rights documents in which demands to cancel  all kinds of discrimination exercised on them
