Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR continues implementing the activities of the project entitled (protect Women Legal Rights) within its social programme that aims to decrease gender-based violence. Today, ADWAR Implemented its sixth theatre performance at Palestine Technical University Kadoorei-Aroub Branch.
the president of Students Council,Hamzeh Shawbkeh opened the meeting with expressing the importance of such projects in supporting women, and the importance of intensifying the existence of such projects that aim to assure Palestinian women and girls’ justice.
In her speech, the general director of ADWAR, Sahar Alkawasmeh emphasized the importance of this activity in addressing men and boys in order to change the stereotypes of women’s roles and their rights. As well, she showed the importance of enhance the language of rights and law through going to Family Courts and ask for services.
Moreover, the vice president of Palestine Technical University Kadoorei-Aroub Branch, Ms. Yassir Al-Adam thanked ADWAR for its continues work to change girls and boys perspectives about the importance of asking their legal rights, and the importance of this project in introducing women and girls legal rights.
At the end, the performance was followed by critical discussion aimed to explain the idea of the play and discussing women legal rights that were mentioned in the play.
