Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR started the sixth discussion session for decision-makers’ accountability by Anata young women Association and Jerusalem Agriculture Ministry.
This activity comes within the project “Towards Women who Lead Change in Priority Communities and Make a Difference in their Lives and the Lives of Others” that is conducted in partnership with Bedouin Local Councils in Hebron and East Jerusalem. Anata young women Association, Anata gathering generally, ADWAR Association project coordinator Duaa’ Al Jamal, and Jerusalem Agriculture Department Director Mr. Basel Amr were involved and participated in this session.
Women asked for planting roofs of homes and providing agricultural and livestock production machineries and managing educational vocational courses on agricultural and livestock production means. Amr pointed necessity of networking and coordination with institutions that work in agricultural sector, as well as the necessity of identifying needs in accord of sound and scientific basics that fulfill women gathering needs. He also pointed supporting the gathering through available projects such as greening Palestine, so finally there was an accord on following up projects and delivering them to concerning and responsible bodies in Agriculture Ministry. In the end of this session women attendees thanked ADWAR Association for such effective and purposeful session and asked for more workshops and trainings for their importance and effective effect of empowering them and support their solidarity especially in such marginalized areas.
