The Women’s Protection Committee in Masafer Bani Naem launches the Women’s Environmental Club

In honor of 8th of March and the National Environmental Day, the Women’s Protection Committee in Masafer Bani Naem Affiliated to ADWAR Association launched Thursday 10/3/2022 the Environmental Women’s Club in cooperation with the Environmental Quality Authority, in a ceremony held in Bani Naem.
Launching the club came after a series of efforts by the Women’s Protection Committee to accountable decision-makers about the environmental reality.
The Environmental Women’s Club aims to improve and build the capacities of women in marginalized areas, enhance their environmental awareness in terms of solving the environmental problems surrounding them and enhance their resilience, in addition to arranging environmental work and making it sustainable in accordance with a development plan to advance environmental awareness.
The launch ceremony included a wide discussion with partner organizations about the reality of services in the community, where the participating women expressed the most prominent needs, calling on the competent authorities to intervene to improve the reality of those services.
In light of these discussions, Hebron Health Directorate pledged to take samples from the wells’ water in the community in preparation for the sterilization of all wells in the community also Agricultural Relief Society pledged to involve the community in the projects implemented by them in the marginalized areas.
The club is expected to start its work soon during March as part of a plan that includes a set of environmental awareness activities and training, and to follow up on the environmental violations that occur in the region officially and legally.
The Women’s Protection Committee in the gathering received an official letter of assignment to form the environmental women’s club.
This activity comes within the project “Our Path for Prosper Future”, funded by the European Union.
