Roles Association Ends Four Awareness Workshops with Housewives

“Mothers"

 

 In partnership with Palestinian  Women Center for Research and Documentation and funding by UNISCO organization, Roles for Social Change Association (ADWAR) ends  four workshops entitled "Housewives' awareness about their rules in protecting women from violence" including " Enough Violence : Honor Killing " project. Housewives.

 

 The project came in corporation with Mercy and Friendliness association , Saving and Credit Association  and the Charity Association For Girl's Development in Tarqumiya.

 By 91 participants,  the workshops focused on the importance of mothers' rules in the education process whereas most of them are still controlled by the masculine mentality and with the absence of their female personality which leads them to act, unconsciously,  in a masculine mentality.

By the end, mothers talk about how importance these workshops are which lead them to be more knowledgeable about many concepts like, honor, ethics and non-discrimination between men and women. In addition, they believe in their effective rule in protecting women from violence.

The participants recommended for the continuity of the workshops which help to gather women from different areas and raise their awareness of the society they live in.

Sahar Alkawasmeh , Roles Association general director,  confirmed on the importance of women and housewives' role in protecting themselves and others from violence. Also, she asked women to get rid of a masculine mentality that dominates their minds and feelings.
