The awareness seminar entitled (towards building nonviolence culture and rejecting extremism) in Nablus

ADWAR Association in partnership with Zimam Palestine organization held a seminar in cooperation with Nablus Municipality, with the presence of Mr.Zuheir Dabai’y the supervisor of cultural centres, ADWAR general director Sahar AlKawasmeh, as well as several related formal and civil organizations’ representatives.

The seminar started with AlKawasmeh speech in which she presented the role of Palestinian women in support of national issues and building non-violence culture within family and society, also how women played distinguished role in creating adoption strategies in order to keep the Palestinian family’s resistance.

For his part, Sheikh Zuhair Aldbai confirmed the Palestinian national work and how Palestinian women worked in the national struggle alongside to men and maintained the demands and national needs. Also, pointed to the importance of the presence of young women and men in such seminars to work together to build a culture of non-violence, noting that he is optimist about the role of the Palestinian people in renunciation of violence in the future.

Mohamad Nedal Darwaza whom a speaker and writer in civilized dialogue and social activist; that there should be reconsideration for Education which operates on the upbringing of the girls and the culture of tyranny and acceptance without giving any opinion and respect for other gender, where women work on the reproduction of culture and education that had been established; therefore women devoted the culture of tyranny for their sons and daughters at the expense of granting women the right to exercise their role just like men.

One of the most important outcomes of the seminar is to work on the establishment of courses and seminars to be taught in universities, mosques and schools contribute to the creation of a new generation of intellectual people whom rejects extremism and working on building a culture of nonviolence.

Participants also stressed on the importance of encouraging teamwork and work to educate people about the change in the pattern of religiosity. Being religious does not mean that we discard the other, but working to promote a culture of love among people and to be a good example work for the benefit of our homeland Palestine.
