Roles for social change Association-ADWAR finished the first phase of the project (Supporting women to engage in labor market through sweets project) in partnership with Khashm AlDaraj local council. The project aimed to enhance the Bedouin women participation in the economic sector and engage in labor market in order to enhance their economic situations and provide their family needs.
Which participated in the training program 26 intern, learned to manufacture and produce many sweets (Basbousa, Qatayef, Awameh, Mshabak, Barasiq, and Alajut), the celebration include the members of ADWAR‘S Board(Doaa Dbabsyah and Inas Abu Rmouz), the General Director of ADWAR Association (Sahar Yousef Alkawasmeh), the administrative assistance (Abeer Sarahneh) and trainer (Noha Alkhawara), in addition to Vice-director of the Board of ADWAR‘S Bedouin Women branch of Khashm Eldaraj (Huda Alhthaleen) and the Secretary of the local council fund (Walid Alhathaleen).
Many of the sweets that women are trained to manufacture were offered during the ceremony, and participated the ceremony a group of interned women from Khashm Eldaraj.
Waleed Alhathaleen said a word thanked the association about its roles and hard work in Kashm Eldaraj in supporting the Bedouin women, Huda also expressed pleasure towards the project and that women have become play a more effective role in the economical process. The General Director Sahar Alkawasma for her part, expressed that this project will play the next phase in applicate the marketing plan which prepared by the interns through their own workshop, and the products will be marketing in Yatta market and the Bedouin schools.
