The Executive Secretary of (Patriots to end the split) in Hebron held a conference entitled “The risk of split on Palestinians” at Al Amana/Hebron hotel hall in Hebron.
The Executive Secretary is represented by the General Director of Roles for Social Change ADWAR (Sahar Yousef Alkawasma), the Media activist (Shareef Yaghmour), the civil activist against wall and settlements (Yousef Abu Maria), the member of the Independent committee (Issa Alamleh), and the human rights activist and member of Al-Quds Center (Amin Bayed).
(Patriots to end the split) came out of individual, collective, institutional, and political parties’ initiative in order to shed light on the split risks on Palestinian community stating that Palestinians are (One country, One community, One flag).
The opening started with the national Palestinian anthem and (Mawtenee) song by (Revive the Heritage) group, in addition to holy Quran verses, followed by a speech for the conference leadership by (Sahar Yusuf Alkawasma) whom highlighted Palestinian women roles in strengthening the steadfastness of Palestinian community to confront the Israeli occupation and how the family was able to face stronger external forces which is the Zionist occupation through emphasizing the Palestinian identity and stability on our lands . While the Palestinian family became weak confronting the Palestinian division. It also led to the rise of family conflicts, divorce and disputes among siblings because of engaging in different political parties.
Sahar Yousef Alkawasma also confirmed the importance of the conference as a form of social community movement, which contributes to raising the voices of men and women to highlight their suffering as a result of the Palestinian split.
Dr. Wasel Abu Yousef on behalf of the national parties emphasized on the importance of ending the Palestinian split and uphold the unity of the Palestinian people which is battered by a number of risks and prevented Palestinian people from reaching their rights, he also stated the need to move away the party that leads Palestinians to nowhere.
The General coordinator of “Patriots to end the split” (Ali Amer) presented a speech about the split risks and the need to work in a unified program for public pressure to end the Palestinian split.
(Amr Alamleh) a Palestinian child also presented a poem entitled “Letter from a Palestinian child”.
In addition to the speech of Palestinian prisoners presented by the liberated prisoner (Ghuzlan Hejjeh) whom presented their suffering as a result of the Palestinian split, and how there was a clear discrimination in receiving aid and getting job opportunities according to your political party.
Then there was a (Tourathee ala Ketfee) Dabka show by (Revive the Heritage) group, which shed the light on practices by current political parties that reinforced split and how the Palestinian flag is what unites us.
The performance also accompanied a theatrical sketch titled “Bekaffee” by the artist (Abdul Moghnee Jabari) the director of (Dreams of Youth and Children) association which highlighted the issue of split and calling everyone to put an end to the situation we are in and look to the future of our children and generations.
Then the member of the executive secretary of “Patriots to end the split “(Yousef Abu Maria) illustrated the final statement which highlighted the need to work to end the split and work on the unity of the Palestinian blood, calling on everyone to stay away from personal and factional interests and work on the level of national action and dialogue among different parties.
Furthermore, Shareef Yaghmour the member of the executive secretary of “Patriots to end the split” opened the discussion with the audience to present their recommendations about the working plan after the conference which will be the formation of committees from Hebron to work on executing a series of events in order to shed light on the importance of ending the split.
The conference was concluded with (Ya Horras Almada’aen) song presented by (Revive the Heritage) group and then collecting signatures on a petition which emphasize the need to end the split.
