Action Against Hunger (ACF) and their partnars ADWAR and Land Research Center held a conference titled massafer yatta (challenges of the present and future), Within “Promotion of the local democracy and economic activity through the reinforcement of Palestinian Non State Actors (NSA)” project which is funded by the European Union in collaboration with massafer yatta Council.
The conference included papers talking about massafer yatta and the challenges facing this region, the president of massafer yatta Council – Mr. Nidal Abu Arram- talk About the current situation of massafer yatta (Challenges and Priorities), then Dr. Ahmed al-Atrash’s Speech is about planning in massafer yatta. In addition, the Director of Land Research Center – Jamal talab- Present a paper entitled Political and geographic reality in massafer yatta and the future scenarios to enhance resilience.
After that Fares Ala’mour make a presentation about Palestinian Authority’s obligations and duties towards massafer yatta residents, then the community activist in Susia village -Fatima Alnoaja’ah- also make presentation about women reality in massafer yatta,” challenges and priorities”.
At the end, the representatives of ACH Ammar Amriziq and Salim Nasr talk about the ACH experiences with massafer yatta, then they give recommendations and ways to support massafer yatta in the present and future.
