Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR continued implementing the second-phase within the project (Increasing Women’s Political Participation Through Effective local election in Marginalized community) in partnership with the German Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The project is implemented in partnership with the Local Bedouin councils, Protection committees, Ministry of Local Government, Ministry of Women’s Affairs, and Ma’an Network.
The project targeted Bedouin women in AlJahaleen/Abu Nowar gathering of east Jerusalem and Arab AlRamadin south of Hebron.
ADWAR implemented the fourth training day within ” Women to Women” meetings.
Nada Al-zgharneh, a trainee transferred knowledge, skills and experiences that she gained from previous capacity building training about gender practical and strategic based needs and international conventions, local laws and CEDAW convention the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women. That is to improve services Responsive to the needs of gender, in addition to mobilize the Greatest possible number of women and encourage them to the formal political participation
