Adwar Association for Social Change represented by the General Director Sahar Al-Qawasmeh has participated in launching the work of the National Coalition for the Reform and Protection of the Judiciary.
Representatives of several civil society organizations concerned with judicial affairs, law schools and trade unions at the headquarters of the Independent Commission for Human Rights. They are from the cities of Ramallah and Gaza through the video conferencing technology, where they announced the official launch of the National Coalition for Judicial Reform and Protection and chose a leadership framework for the coalition.
During the meeting, the Coalition’s Executive Board was chosen by Ziad Al-Najjar, the Gaza Bar Association, Hatem Shaarawi, the Center for the Protection of Human Rights, Alaa Escafi, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights and Aya Al-Mughrabi, the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution. In the West Bank, Azmi al-Shuaibi from the Aman Association, Abdullah Hammad from the Jerusalem Legal Aid Center, Jihad Harb from the Judicial Authority for the Independence of the Judiciary, Bassam al-Qawasmeh from the Faculty of Law and Law at Hebron University, Alaa Badarneh from Hurriyat Center, Mahmoud Ziada from Independent Conservatives, Ahlam Al-Tarayrah from Musawah Foundation as all permanent representatives of their institutions throughout the current period of the current coalition session.
The Coalition will be represented by the Independent Commission for Human Rights, the Council of Human Rights Organizations and the NGO Network as observers and supporters of the Coalition.
