Roles for Social Change Association-ADWAR started the first discussion meetings with private sector in Abu Nuwwar Bedouin Gathering-East Jerusalem within the project “Supporting disadvantaged Bedouin and rural women to formalize and manage income-generating businesses, in south of Hebron and East Jerusalem” in partnership with the UKAID and funded by the European Union; and in the presence of female members of Abu Nuwwar Company for Pastries, ADWAR Association General Director Dr. Sahar Alkawasmeh, ADWAR Staff, and Commerce Chamber representative Suzan Qrai’.
This meeting aimed at networking with commercial centers and private sector that contribute to sell women’s different products, as well as registering income generating projects in Chamber of Commerce in order to make sure of converting these projects of women from informal sector to a formal sector and support women’s economical independence.
Most important outcomes of this meeting were that Chamber of Commerce confirmed its commitment regarding registering the company as a credited member in Chamber of Commerce, as well as working on networking this company with other organizations and expositions.
Qrai’ expressed her admiration of women’s products and the effective role Abu Nuwwar Bedouin Women Gathering play in social, economical and political life.
