Women Protection Committee in Al-Maitah Bedouin Community implements the “Our Kitchens Initiative to Prepare Healthy and Safe Food”

The Women Protection Committee in Al-Maitah Bedouin community in Tubas governorate, Tuesday, 15/9/2020, held a ceremony entitled “Our kitchens initiative to prepare healthy and safe food”, after the private sector responded by holding an accountability meeting to highlight the need for women to provide ovens and gas cylinders to reduce the burdens that fall on the shoulders of women and save time and effort, especially since they are forced to set fire to firewood in order to cook and prepare food, which requires time and double effort.

Where the coordinator of the project, Nour Manasra, thanked the Women Protection Committee in Al-Maith community for its success in raising its voice and reaching the decision-makers. Also praised the committee’s activity and its effective and distinctive role, and stressing that ADWAR Association will continue to communicate with the committee and stand by it.

This initiative comes within the activities of the project (Towards Women Leading Change in Priority Communities and Make a Difference in Their Lives and the Life of Others) in partnership with local councils in Tubas and Jericho, and funded by Netherlands government.
